The Role of Expressive Arts
Expressive arts is an intermodal approach that integrates low-skilled art practices with high sensitivity. You don’t need any art experience to join – it is accessible to all. There’s a dynamic interplay between different forms of expression and senses, such as movement, sound, visuals, play, and writing. It focuses on the human potential, allowing you to activate the inner resources needed for transformation.
About me

Polina Yakymenko
“I am an Expressive Arts Facilitator, pursuing an MA in Expressive Arts Therapy. I research pre-reflective self, embodied knowing and perception. For me, the arts is a pathway to sensing and experiencing meaning. My background includes digital design, behavioural research, and a fascination with phenomenology, embodiment and movement.”

This space is for women navigating the complexities of burnout or the end of a relationship, feeling exhaustion and self-doubt. In Expressive Arts sessions, the creative process becomes your expression, mirror and map.
It's an invitation to see yourself through colours and shapes, hear yourself through sounds and stories, feel yourself through movement and textures, and create rituals that nurture you.
This space is for you to exhale, feel, express and be. Navigate feelings of guilt, anger, and sadness. Grieve the version of yourself that never came to be. Restore your cup and refill it with self-love.
We come together to share and support one another. This is your opportunity to find reflections of yourself in others and to be seen without judgment. Together, we explore what safety means for each of us, activate our strengths, and imagine new possibilities.
Sessions
You are welcome to join a single session and, hopefully, come regularly. I wish to create a consistent small group of up to 8 women. Sessions run when at least 2 people join. Payment is required in advance to reserve your spot.
